  11. -Dunbar Intermediate Kaboom’s Playground Contest- Now thru. May 10th

    Dunbar Intermediate has been selected as a finalist for Kaboom’s Playground Contest!!! The school is in DESPERATE need of a playground so…… EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!! Please log into projects.kaboom.org and select Dunbar Intermediate’s “Project Playground”. It only takes a few minutes to register and you can vote everyday till May 10th!! This is the only school in West Virginia participating so vote and help these students get a playground they deserve!!!!

    -June 3rd-4th: Relay for Life from 6pm-6am @ Winfield High School

    - American Lung Association in West Virginia 24th Greenbrier Trail Bike Trek- May 13th-15th

    Mountain biking enthusiasts won’t want to miss this 100 exciting miles of mountain biking along the scenic Greenbrier River Trail in West Virginia. The Trek will kick-off Friday morning May 13th at The Inn at Snowshoe Mountain and will end 100 miles later at the Greenbrier Youth Camp in Anthony W.V. on Sunday May 15th. Food, refreshments, accommodations, gear truck, sag wagon, and entertainment are all included. Each participant will receive a official 2011 Greenbrier Trail Bike Trek Shirt and group photo. Companies and families are encouraged to sign-up!!!     - Twirl and Cheer Clinic – Saturday May 14th

    The Hamlin Youth Football League will be hosting this Clinic at the Hamlin Community School from 1pm-4pm. Girls ages 5-12 are welcome to come and learn cheerleading/ majorette skills and routines from award winning instructors. Every level from beginner to advanced will be sure to have a blast!!! The Clinic is $30 and includes a t-shirt for more information call Paula (304) 767-5057.

    - 1st Annual West Virginia Hands & Voices Rummage / Bake Sale – Saturday May 21st

    The West Virgina Chapter of Hands & Voices will be hosting a rummage / bake sale from 8am-4pm at the Brandywine Flea Market located at 410 First Ave E in Nitro. Come out and support this non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families and their children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Hope to see you there Rain or Shine!!!!!!
